When is Lumora Health launching?
We're launching in phases, starting with Nigerian doctors serving the diaspora in the United Kingdom and Canada. Other countries follow soon after. Joining the waitlist puts you first in line and helps us decide which markets and specialties to open next.
Are the doctors verified?
Yes. Every doctor on Lumora is licensed by their national medical council (such as the MDCN in Nigeria or the MDC in Ghana) and passes our identity and credential verification before seeing patients.
Can Lumora doctors prescribe medication?
Doctors can issue prescriptions and recommendations valid in their country of practice, which is especially useful when arranging care and medication for family back home. Cross-border prescription support depends on the regulations where you live, and we'll be transparent about what's possible in your country.
How is this different from other telehealth apps?
Most telehealth platforms connect you with whichever doctor is available in the country you live in. Lumora connects you across borders with African doctors who share your language and culture, and lets you arrange care for loved ones back home from anywhere in the world.
